Kristine Elaine Boeke died on March 11, 2008 at age 42 from complications of pneumonia. During her short life she displayed an amazing ability to reach out to those in need with immense compassion and kindness. She had a great love of politics, film, animals and volunteering to help the many causes she believed in so fervently. Kristine was an avid historian. After receiving degrees from The University of Texas, Fuller Theological Seminary and The University of Notre Dame, she ultimately pursued her career as a college history professor and taught at Austin Community College where she was highly regarded by her students and colleagues. She was preceded in death by her mother Gloria Boeke. She is survived by her father Ed Boeke and his wife Ann, sisters Karen and Stephanie Boeke and brothers Ray, Michael and Christopher. Her generous heart, sharp wit and vivacious spunk will be dearly missed by us all.
