I live in New Braunfels and was very sad when I heard that Rob had an accident here that took his life. I remember fondly playing football with Rob at William P. Hobby Middle School back in the late 1970's. Rob was a very good player and I believe we both played first string defensive line. I also remember Rob as being a nice person and I considered him my friend back then in middle school. Back then he knew me as "Spini" which used to be my last name until I changed it after high school. Unfortunately, I lost touch with him after middle school. He will be missed.
